How To Make Your Space Your Sanctuary

Despite the fact that we would all love an home to the standard of blogger perfection, for the most of us – as rent prices continue to soar and the space we have to ourselves shrinks – creating a sense of home is becoming harder and harder. But, putting your first through taking care of the space around you is something easily done with this few tips. So, regardless of whether you have an entire apartment to yourself or just a mere four walls, here’s how you can make a sanctuary out of your space.

Plants

The more plants in a room the more life there is. Succulents and cacti are great for rooms of any size as they’re super small and look great with no effort. Relatively new on the scene is Prick London, the first plant shop of it’s kind in London. Find all the cacti and succulents

INSIDE #PRICKLDN Thank you @emilyplants for this gorgeous photo of our store. The shops landscape is constantly changing with with addition of new plants and pots. Emily has a beautiful account so all plant lovers should check it out! #REPOST ・・・ I have to admit that I normally end up waiting a couple of days before sharing pictures of new plant shops with you, but I’m just too excited about my visit to @prickldn to wait – just look at this dreamy dreamy place 😍🌵 seriously though, @prickldn can I just move into your store? • • • • • #prick #cactusshop #cactus #succulents #cacti #cactuslove #prickldn #houseplants #prickdalston #indoorplants #plantgang #houseplantsofinstagram #plant #prickshop #plantsmakepeoplehappy #indoorjungle #plants #plantportrait #plantaddict #plantsofinstagram #instaplant #cactusgram #plantgoals #plantstrong #cactusofinstagram

Artwork

Depending on your style, minimal can create the most serene atmosphere in even the smallest of spaces. Find some fluid line drawings to make your room immediately calming, and, try to place the artwork in view from your bed so that it feels relaxing when you sleep. Our favourites are by artist Alexandria Coe.

Accessories

Sometimes it’s those things you don’t really need but look beautiful that make the difference. Without adding a cause for clutter, be selective when choosing the what accessories you’d like to accent your space with. For instance, by adding a small vase to your bedside table will instantly transform the room into a ‘put together’ home. Here, we’ve selected the elegant vase handmade by Berlin-based brand – available on our store.

Coffee Mugs

Drinking your cup of coffee on a morning feels a whole lot better when it’s out of a cup you like; check out these options for some incredible pre-loved pieces. You can add a bit of wellness to the mix with Wonder Workshop’s Golden Glow. Tried and loved by us, this turmeric blend can be added to smoothies and snacks to benefit your health from the inside out. You can also try their Instantly Golden Turmeric Latte for the perfect at home wellness latte.

A splash of personality

Every home or bedroom needs a stamp by you. Either by decorating with personal photographs, or some artwork made by the likes of the incredible Pot Yer Tits Away, add a bit of personality to your space by presenting it as a stand-out feature. Centred on a shelf, the ever-coveted boobs pot will  give your space a lot of character in the simplest way.

I’m now stocked in Singapore!!! Thanks for the photo @tumbleweedplantssg 💫
